A RIOT OF COLOUR
SUMMER EXHIBITION 2026
be inspired, be moved, be challenged
Our Summer Exhibition here at Talos is a popular annual event, renowned for the quality and diversity of the artwork on display. Showcasing bronze sculptures, paintings and wall installations from internationally acclaimed artists in the unpretentious rustic beauty of our gallery buildings, and the intimate seclusion of its breath-taking gardens.
2026 will be the year of colour and we intend to have a riot.
So far we have revealed that this year’s exhibition features sculpture by Patricia Volk, Anya Beaumont, Sandra Camargo and Philip Booth, alongside paintings by Sebastian Ward Turner, Lucy Milne, Tom Bates and Romany Mark Bruce and digital artist, Anthony Dike. We are also delighted to welcome back Roy Evans, Amanda Hillier, Nettie Baskcomb Brown, Claire Leach, Tom Humphreys and Paul Harvey. With more artists to be announced, our bronze room — with works cast at our Talos Foundry — welcomes Nicola Godden and Guy Lewis.
SPECIAL EVENT: Saturday 27 June The Bristol Austin 7 Club will be displaying their cars with us from 10.30am until 12.30.
Talos Summer Exhibition 2026 runs from 6 June to 5 July, with new opening times of 10:30am – 4:30pm.

FEATURED ARTIST
Nicola Godden
"I want to create beauty, energy and something that will evoke an emotional response in people who see it.
Ideas are rarely drawn before working, as I like to keep the spontaneity and get ideas as I work. Original pieces of sculpture are created in clay or plaster because it is fast, enabling me to get the ideas out quickly."
Delighted that Nicola is bringing her work from our Foundry to our Gallery for Summer 2026.

FEATURED ARTIST
Romany Mark Bruce
Romany Mark Bruce is an Irish-born artist whose practice spans sculpture and painting, with a long-standing interest in form, symbolism, and colour.
He is best known for designing the HIV/AIDS Memorial in New Steine Gardens, Brighton — a major public commission selected through open competition. Shortlisted and ultimately commissioned, he spent two years creating the cast bronze sculpture, which was unveiled in 2009 by David Furnish and has since become an important site of reflection and remembrance.
Alongside his public work, Romany has exhibited widely as a painter, describing himself as “a sculptor who paints,” with a practice shaped by decades of observation, form, and colour.

FEATURED ARTIST
Anya Beaumont
Making vibrant, sculptural works using waste plastic, recycled paper and metal, Anya Beaumont transforms her chosen materials into artefacts that reflect on environmental, political and personal concerns.
Often drawing on the ornate traditions of baroque and rococo design, her work reimagines excess as a metaphor highlighting the tensions between nature and consumption and subverts convention.
With three amazing steel sculptures being made especially for Talos Summer Exhibition 2026 we are looking forward to installing these amongst our burgeoning gardens.

Tales from Talos
FEATURED ARTIST
Sebastian Ward Turner
Sebastian Ward Turner has been drawing and painting since childhood, inspired early on by time spent sketching outdoors with his grandfather, a scenic designer. While he has explored portraiture, the human form, and still life, his true passion lies in landscape painting — particularly the ever-changing colours of the sky and clouds.
Working in a style he describes as Modern Impressionism, Sebastian draws on light, atmosphere, and imagination to create evocative landscapes that reflect nostalgia, romance, and a sense of calm. Influenced by artists such as Jean Baptiste-Camille Claude Monet, Corot, and J.M.W Turner, his work invites viewers to bring their own interpretation to the scene.

FEATURED ARTIST
Tom Bates
" Art is an escape from reality, a release from the constraints of society and is a reflection of life. It is a chance to creatively interpret our world and better understand our surroundings.
You will observe from my artwork that I have a varied style - more often than not leaning towards a geometric aesthetic - experimenting with different mediums to create striking pieces."

all works are available to commission and buy
FEATURED ARTIST
Anthony Mark Dike
"Like a form of archaeology, complex multi-layered images are built up over time and then repeatedly edited, cut up and reconfigured until unexpected new collisions of colour, shape and texture are revealed within the dense pixel strata. Through this process, an intriguing visual dissonance occurs, and a new narrative slowly emerges. "
The digital artist with an analogue soul; new to Talos we are excited to share Anthony's bold and eye catching work.
