We are very fortunate to be located in a wonderful part of the country with an abundance of lovely passionate people running independent businesses and events to showcase all that is great about countryside living.

IN JUNE 2023


MILE ELM FARM OPEN DAY

Sunday 11 June 11:30am - 3:00pm

Mile Elm Farm, Calne




Meet the girls who make the milk extra delicious, watch the cows being milked, see new born calves, sheep shearing demo and explore our vending shop full of local produce plus lots of yummy cakes from The Farmyard Bakery!

A great day out for all the family to enjoy a taste of country life on the farm.

NATIONAL OPEN GARDEN SCHEME

Wednesday 14 June 11am - 5:00pm

All the admission fees taken on the day go to NGS charities



The Talos Gallery garden has been designed primarily to display garden sculpture and offers a number of contrasting backdrops to showcase work made at the Talos Art Foundry, including a wildflower meadow, a Mediterranean garden, a beautiful courtyard garden (inc a cafe) and a breath taking collection of roses.


The garden has been created around a range of traditional farm buildings including the old farmhouse built as part of the neighbouring Bowood Estate, and is set in idyllic countryside with outstanding views of the Cherhill white horse, Lansdown monument and Oldbury iron age hillfort.

IN JULY 2023


HEDDINGTON & STOCKLEY STEAM FAIR

Saturday 1st July, 09.00 – 17.00hrs, and Sunday 2nd July 09.00 – 16.30hrs

Heddington, SN11 0PL


An annual event drawing in thousands to the villages of Heddington & Stockley the Steam Rally is a very jolly day out in the countryside for all the family. With over 450 exhibitors there are a host of attractions and activities planned for you to enjoy.

  • Shetland Pony Display Team, including a chance to meet & greet the ponies
